The 2019 Alberta Culture Days are approaching fast and Beaumont is ready to celebrate.

In partnership with the Beaumont Society for the Arts and the Beaumont Library, the city will be holding a variety of events to honour the annual occasion, said Angela Tom, events coordinator for the City of Beaumont.

The delicious bites and drinks of Taste of Beaumont will be available at the Centre Communautaire Beaumont Community Centre from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Sept. 28. Samples of what Beaumont’s food and drink vendors have to offer will be provided by Bake My Day, Chartier, Crêpe and Shake, Eagle’s Nest Catering, Five-0 Bar and Grill, Jef’s Café, Maina’s Donair, Old Montreal Hot Dog and Poutine, Pizza Box, Rig Hand Distillery and Univins and Spirits.

Taste of Beaumont will feature the musical entertainment of Nathaniel Berg and the Ranger Creek Wranglers, organized by the Beaumont Society for the Arts, Tom added.

During the afternoon the Beaumont Library will be hosting family fun and performances from 1-4 p.m. At 12:30 p.m. the Beaumont Songbirds children’s choirs Tiny Tweets and Chickadees will be performing at the Beaumont Library. Following their performance will be the September Swing dance workshop with Hit That Jive Productions.

“They’ll be doing a presentation as well and teaching them how to dance. We’ll have a face painter in … and a button maker happening for people to make some fun buttons,” said Andrea Ciochetti, library program coordinator.
